Controlling a Stepper Motor using Matlab

I have some doubts about this subject:

  • If I write this function "a.stepperStep (1, 'foward', 'single', 200)" on Matlab, where could I put the wires of driver to get this information?
  • The data from arduino will go to an driver through a Parallel port. It's necessary to put an integrated circuit MAX-232 to regulate the voltage? How could I connect it?

Thanks.

where could I put the wires of driver to get this information?

Of what driver? To get what information?

The data from arduino will go to an driver through a Parallel port.

No, it won't. MatLab can't write to a parallel port. The Arduino, without additional hardware, can't read from a parallel port.

It's necessary to put an integrated circuit MAX-232 to regulate the voltage?

Have you measured the voltage? I think you are confusing a real Serial port with a parallel port. A real Serial port uses different voltages from a USB serial port. Using a real Serial port (my laptop doesn't even have one) does require a MAX232 chip between it and the Arduino.

How could I connect it?

Most people use breadboards and wire.
