controlling air conditioner with arduino

Hi guys,

Guys, i'm new when the subject is arduino so here comes my problem. I'm using the IRremote lib and a RTC module to control when to turn on and off one air conditioner. My doubt is, can i control more than one air? In fact, I'd like to control 7 air conditioners with an arduino mega. Please, can somebody help me? Obs: I'm sorry for my english.

I'm with the other fellow - where are all these air conditioners located and how do you propose to couple your system to them individually?

Also - why do you think you would want to use an Arduino mega 2560?
