I would like to incorporate a ShiftBrite into a home made gift. I need a small microcontroller to drive it. The entire product needs to be powered from a battery as well.
Can anyone point me to someone that has done such a thing?
I'm quite capable in electronics and programming, I just need to make this thing very quickly and would like a good starting point.
Hmm.. after coming across a BlinkM, this might be more appropriate. Apparently it can run the program independantly after programed through an arduino.
Yep, the BlinkM makes more sense if you just need one LED with some custom activity. The ShiftBrite makes the most sense if you need between 4 and 50 RGB LEDs on one controller.
