Controlling the on-board led on the RFID-RC522

Sure hope this is the right forum... I have put together a sketch where I use two RFID readers, an RTC module and three leds to simulate locks. Sketch is working fine, and all looks ok.

The RC522 RFID reader has an on-board led that is ligting up red when powered. I have prowled the internet looking for how to control that led, to make it green when access is granted etc. I have found nothing. I have however seen videos on youtube, and pictures around the net where this led is green, so I know it is possible ;).

Anyone?

Hello,
Glad to see someone with the same quest.
I am trying a little project here, and I am looking for the same.

Good luck.

Hello again,
After my inspection of my board (SPI), I am pretty sure the on board LED (labeled D1) is mono chromatic (=red only)

On the other way, according the RC522 documentation, this led lights-up with the power.
I do not think it is possible to mange it.
There are different "modes", and maybe it is possible to control it this way.
