Controlling triphase driving wheels with Arduino motor shield

Hello everybody,

Do you know if it's possible to pilot this kind of driving wheels (triphase motor) : "http://gyro-service.com/moteur/19-moteur.html" with an arduino motor shield like this : "https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/ArduinoMotorShieldR3" ?

I think this shield can only pilot DC motors but if someone has an idea to solve my problem, like use an other shield or add an other component more adapted, I'm taking it.

Thank you for your futur answer. Bye.

No.

From the cables in the second photo, it seems to be a three phase brushless motor with hall sensor leads. (if I’m right) you need a brushless controller capable of hall input for direction sensing.

The product page is quite stupid, specifying only 350 watts without voltage and current limits. Still enough to know the L298 based motor shield (total max 4A at 12V) can not power it.
