Convert to DS1307

Hello. I was trying to make this Christmas countdown timer, but I use a DS1307 RTC and they use a DS3231. Can someone help me convert it? Is it possible with a DS1307? I am using a 16x2 LCD(no I2C) and a DS1307 RTC (the time is already set). Here is the source code.

Thank you and all help is appreciated.

I think that no conversion is necessary, as the first six timekeeping registers are identical between the two devices.

What happens if you try to run the code as you have it?

The code is written for a parallel wired LCD but you may need to modify the constructor to use the pins which you have wired to the display.

LiquidCrystal lcd(8,9,7,6,5,4);

If you just want to tell the time, there should be no problem. I run a DS3231 on DS1307 software with no change, and it should be OK the other way round.

Thank you. It does work. (Don't know why I didn't think of that :)). Merry Christmas and happy new year!!
