Converting time string to UTC time

Hi,

I am working on Arduino Mega 2560 + SIM900 GSM module. I found out that GSM module can receive updated time from the connected base station. The time is displayed in string in the following format:
"yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss".

I want to convert this string to UTC time format. Which are the libraries available to achieve this?

Are you saying that is local time, and you want UTC? Does your local time have Daylight Saving Time?
