Dear Colleagues,
I must to develop a device (with Arduino) to measure corporal temperature in lab mices.
The main trouble is that temperature sensors wires will be devoured by the mices... of course.
Could You please to indicate a sensor that no needs to be attached in the mices body ?
I mean, that it´s possible to measure the mice´s temperatura from a short distance with a another kind of temperature sensor ?

Any kind of external system will only give you the skin temperature which will vary depending on the ambient temperature and air currents.
Have you looked at infrared temperature sensors like this one? Not sure how you will get the mice to stay still but it doesn't need contact
