Can you please rephrase your question?

I can't tell whether you want to connect the ground of an AC source to the ground of the Arduino (forming a common ground), or if you want to power the Arduino off an AC source, or what...

umm

actually, there is a two wires output AC
the output is AC, i would like to have a frequency determination in the arduino
one wire will be connected to the analog input of the arduino
and the other one wire will be connected to ground
can i put the wire to the ground like i mentioned?

The analog inputs are not designed to handle AC (alternating current). you should make sure that the voltage on any pin does not go negative with respect to ground and does not go higher than 5 volts.
