Hi all. Im trying to create a kinda of big touch screen using arduino. We would like to use it in events and marketing stuff for entertainment.
So I got a arduino diecemilla and a EZ0 ultrasonic sensor, to begin with. But Im starting to think the EZ0 is not good for this kinda of thing.
When I place it above the screen, or near anything, the measure gets messed up. I guess the sensor detects a wall, the screen or anything near it, and the results are not the one I would like it to be.
I need a sensor that only detects something if its right in front of it, and not if its in the left or right of it.
Im thinking about getting a Ping ultrasonic sensor from Parallax. But since I live in Brazil and its kinda expensive (and time consuming) for me to buy this things, first I would like to ask if thats a better sensor for this kind of project.
I saw a few project on You tube using this sensor, something similar to what I wanna do, so I guess it will work fine.
Thanks in advance.
