Hello everyone, I am working on a project to create a two-wheeled jumping drone similar to the one from the game Rainbow Six Siege. I am looking for an air compressor with enough power to facilitate the jumping mechanism for this drone. Could anyone recommend a suitable air compressor for this purpose? If such a compressor is not available, could you please suggest alternative mechanisms to achieve a similar jumping effect? Thank you in advance for your help!
I guess you are looking for a compressor that fits inside the drone and runs off batteries? Might be a tall ask.
I think the way Robot Wars bots do it is with a prefilled CO2 bottle.
Tbh, the drone in the game is more science fiction/art than engineering. The drone is shown with Mecanum wheels, but they can't actually work to strafe without 4 wheels.
Also, people have built RC versions but I didn't find any that jump.
Usually you use a spring mechanism with a rather weak geared motor.
