creating secondary wifi network via arduino w/ethernet?

hello. I'm new to the arduino ecosystem and I have a question - would it be possible to 'feed' an arduino an active internet connection via ethernet (from a generic wireless router w/ethernet ports) and then have the arduino create a secondary wifi network with access to the internet? obviously this would require would a bit of programming but I'm wondering if it is even possible on arduino hardware.

I don't think an Arduino would work very well as a wireless bridge / repeater / router, it's just too slow and has too little RAM.

Are you looking for something that can edit or inspect packets as they flow in & out? If so I think getting a Linksys, put Dd-wrt on it, and working with that code and hardware will be much easier.
