I am trying to create strings using a keypad as an input and eventually sends wirelessly through Xbee. I have found similar projects put they all seem to be overly complicated with variables and libraries that I do not need. I have my keypad working so does anyone have arbitrary example code that does this?

How do you know you don't need them?
Why do you think people write code that is overly complicated? Could it be that you don't understand what a system like this actually involves?
