CUI capacitive encoder

I recently bought a CUI amt113q encoder:

but I don't have its usb cable.

I wanted to know, can I use ftdi module ( http://www.ebay.in/itm/USB-to-TTL-converter-FT232-FTDI-Basic-Program-Downloader-KG202-/121670956076?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item1c5427742c)

to change its resolution . If yes, what should be the conection?

Yes you can use the USB/TTL-board. If you selected and bought that fancy encoder, you should be able to follow the datasheet for it's connections.

I am not able to find connections in datasheet ?
Should I connect "MCRLB" to rts or dtr?

I found the solution:
connect:
5v - 5v
gnd - gnd
tx_enc+ - rx
rx_enc+ - tx
MCLRB - rts (not dtr)
