A 9.6V NiMH/NiCad pack has 8 cells, and they are spec'ed as 1.2V nominally, but at
full charge they are more like 1.4V plus a bit. When using such a "largish" voltage, this
is where you'll want to check for v.reg overheating. This depends mainly on the loads
connected to the 5V pin.
