I am replacing the actual power supply by the official raspberry pi power supply (it is the only other 5v PS I have right now). But at this time of the night I cannot play with the bind too any more, it is making some mechanical noise, I don't want to disturb too much the neighbours.
FYI the actual PS is rating for 5V 0.7amp and the raspberry one is 5V 2amps. I don't think the controller board uses this much power, but I am starting too think that it is more a quality/reliability/protection that the old PS doesn't have that is the issue.
