Current Sensing

Hi guys,

I have a small dc motor connected to a little anemometer that generates little power.

Is there any way to know the current that it is generating?

I have the acs714 current sensor, but i saw some schematics and it doenst fit my problem.

It may have a very simple, but i am a rookie in electronics, so i hope you can help me.

Use a multimeter.

However to be of any use you need a load. Then read the voltage across the load to get power.

As has been mentioned in other threads on this subject, don't expect much power.

I would try a DMM set to current. And compressed air, or a vacuum cleaner with the hose on the outlet.
Then you have some idea of the current generated.

Then repeat with the DMM set to voltage.
Report back.
