current sensor up to 150A

Hi,
i am in a racing team and i was searching for a current sensor that can be used in our car that can sense up to 150A
and i couldn't find a sensor that can be used with arduino to sense up to 150 ampere.
can you recommend a reliable sensor that i can use in the car?

Google.

Do you just want to sense if current is there or actually measure it?

Yes they are called shunts. There are many commercial units available at a relative low cost. You will probably be working with milivolts so work with somebody knowledgeable in analog as the Arduino A/D will not cut it unless the signal is amplified. Put it in the low side, this makes interfacing to the micro a lot easier. With some work you can use the wire itself and measure the voltage drop over a known distance to determine current but temperature will definitely effect your reading. This response is to help you get started in solving your problem, not solve it for you.

Depends on just how accurate a reading is constantly required. Using analog can fluctuate a bit at times and requires average readings to get anywhere near close.

There are these modules however.......out of stock currently on the 150 and 200A models
