Cutting slots in a commercial PCB

Has anyone try to cut a slot in a commercially made PCB by placing Vias close together?

Example:

Can't you use "mousebites" (a row of holes) instead of copper-lined vias?
Leo..

I believe OSH Park does slots.

Or, are you trying to cut the slot after the fact?

All the cheap Chinese do slots, and at least Seeed also does good v-cut, if this is about breaking apart.

New design, using an old PCB program that does not handle slots.

I have a component with rectangular terminals, ~.35” X .05”

Would like the slot to be PTH.

Thought slots might be made as shown, don’t care if they are jagged.

I have emailed the PCB house but no response yet.

I recall that "slot" is nothing more than geometry on a certain layer. You may be able to directly edit the Gerber file(s) moving vias / solder pads / whatever geometry you used to the necessary layer.

The PCB company says they can do this.

I will make a run of broads to see how it turns out.

Something like this, looks not too bad.
After soldering, the jagged edges will be hidden.
