The DAGU ComMotion 4-port motor controller packaged as an Arduino shield seems to have significant potential as subsystem for designing various types of autonomous robots. However some users have reported in other forums that certain advertised (advanced) features such as reporting back battery voltage or motor current to the Arduino are not functional and in fact not yet fully implemented in current versions of the product.
Has anyone here had any experiences to report related to this controller?
I have been able to get it to respond to basic motor control commands from an Arduino UNO controller and that seems to work fine. But I have not yet progressed beyond that to more advanced features.
If anyone is interested, my basic demo code is on GitHub here
