Daisy chaining Arduino modules with the ethernet protocol and poe

Hi so i wanna make a module based system using Arduinos and i want it to use POE for power and connecting them i wanna both be able to daisy chain them so 2 ports on each modules and i want to be able to use a POE ethernet hub and just connect them with 1 cable each is this possible to do without too much DIY?

Wouldn't the entire problem be, finding some POE hubs that do that? I don't see the Arduino question here.

would it be possible for the Arduino to work as a hub using a shield so i don't have to find 2 port hubs and can an Arduino run on PoE power

Probably not. I doubt that there is even a shield with multiple ports. That's without even considering POE.

i think a solution not thinking about poe would be to make it work like a tap and then insted of using ips just give each an id and send the id in the packet

There is no such thing as a "tap" in the Ethernet hardware protocol.

a tap its not part of the protocol its a hardware thing might also be know as a port mirror or a y splitter
