Hi guys, Are all Dallas Temp Sensors ds18b20 the same? I have a bunch I bought locally and they work fine. But I also I have a bunch I bought from china and none of them work. I've looked on the chips from china and they all say Dallas ds18b20.

Might be just forged. You tend to get that from China sometimes. (But on the other hand, I get a lot of usable stuff from there too - just would not put it anywhere where it is a hassle to change.)
I had repeated problems with broken temperature ranges, something like a broken ADC. Temperature would be slowly ramping up, then one interval suddenly spikes by a degree, the next one is fine again. 100% reproducible. 100% not a real temperature effect. (400l of water do not just jump by a degree for half an hour, then go slowly rising again from where they where before spiking.)
Yeah i agree. Not one out of the 30 work. All the pins are around the wrong way as well. If i plug them in the correct way they get red hot and some turn off my arduino connection to my pc. I sourced some more from a guy around the corner today and they all work. Cheers mate.
May be mis described, If its the TO92 package there is an analogue version as well.
