Nick, would you explain the few lines at the very end of your code after the Serial.print commands, headed //sensor value function?
BulldogLowell, the icons that I'm expecting to appear above the reply thingy!

he's adding an unnecessary function wrapper to the class member function... I'm also curious why he did that.

Which browser are you using? Maybe you need to clear the browsing data, kill the browser and restart it.

The last few lines is the subroutine that picks up the sensor readings. I recognise that it is not quite the same as the Hacktronics tutorial I originally alluded to, but the variation made it easier at the time to expand upon for a real project. It was so long ago that I can't remember what it was all about now, but it involved some guy in Iowa, and I have used it ever since.

I can't comment on the icons. I thought you meant at the top of the IDE. Apparently not.

You got it Bulldog_Lowell, I use internet explorer for some reason but I have Firefox which brought up the icons at once! I won't go into why I use IE, it's mind laziness again.
I think that this thread has reached it's conclusion now. My problems are solved for the moment and I thank all of you. I expect I'll be back!
