Please could someone explain whether it is possible to display custom labels, such as "standby" and "activated", instead of "on" and "off" on the Status widget? And also if it is possible to change the background colours?
Google says that you can edit the labels, but doesn't explain how. There is nothing that I can see in the dashboard editor that allows customised editing of the widget (apart from changing to a tick / cross, which is not what I am looking for).
It's not guessing, it's applying experience and logic. If I built the product would I allow editing of the labels. Sounds like a good idea.
So I just tried to and here are the results. First screen is my Mac, 2nd my iPhone. I changed Accelerometer to Accel
Step 1 is to select the relevant dashboard
Step 2 is to click the Edit button
Step 3 is to click the label or whatever you want to change/edit
Step 4 is to click the cog wheel
Now it should be obvious.
That is 65+ years of experience and applying the (don't know the fancy latin) 'how would I design it' concept.
OK, but you are editing the widget name, not the label.
Please look at the Status widget in edit mode, and you will see it displays three different options for the labels - On/Off, True/False and tick/cross. I am asking if there is any way to modify these labels to show customised text.
Clearly there is no option there to do this from the dashboard editor - is there any way to do this from code. Blynk is able to write text, change colour etc, and I want to know if Arduino is able to do similar.
Ah, you are correct, the STATUS widget onlhy offers On/Off and True/False.
You can probablhy get around it by using a diferent widget that is editable and manipulater the status variable in code to display there.
You should also ask for a product feature/addition, it's not an unreasonable thing you want.
