Wow! Thanks for that outstanding explanation! I'll check out NeoGPS. To be honest, until now I've always used a parser that I made myself a few years ago. It could handle some proprietary sentences that I didn't found another solution for at the time.

Now I needed to do an upgrade and wow..do these things save time! And they are a lot better made than what I did with my basic programming skills.
