DC controlled AC Relay

Hello again,

We're looking at developing a product which intends to be able to control two or more 230v AC outputs, from an arduino.
I'm under the impression that when it comes to launching such a product, incorporating the relays themselves on our own products will result in them going through additional testing, as-well as the possibility of additional development time.

To resolve these, is there any self-contained DC controlled AC relay units out there? Ie, an off-the-shelf unit containing a relay which we can control via an arduino?

Regards,

Vendors in the Far East sell any number of relay modules (typically 2, 4, or 8 relays) and some have opto-isolated inputs. For best isolation you would want to add an internal 5V supply from the AC mains rather than use 5V from the Arduino to power the opto-isolators and relay coils.

Here is one such module from Hong Kong for under $4:

The relays have 10A 250V contacts.
