DC MOTOR CONTROL WITHOUT MOTOR CONTROLLER USING potentiometer

im new to arduino and i need some help with my project . i would like to control dc motor without motor controller using potentiometer as feedback for the position of the dc motor is it possible to do this
any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure what you mean by a motor controller.

You cannot connect a motor directly to an Arduino - there MUST be a motor driver (or at least a transistor or relay) between the Arduino and the motor power.

You will get much more useful advice if you describe the project you are working on.

sorry forgot to mention that im using 2 relays to drive it in both direction
and regarding the motor controller i meant a motor driver

Are you proposing to connect the motor shaft to a potentiometer so as to get position feedback - similar to the way a hobby servo works?

I suspect it will be difficult to prevent the motor over-shooting without speed control for the motor.

Have you written any code yet? If so, please post it and tell us what it actually does and what you want it to do that is different.

If you have not written any code what, exactly, do you expect from us?
