Dc Motors on a quadcopter

Hello guys. I want to do a quadcopter but I dont know what motors to use. Surfing the internet I found a dc motors that looks great, but Im not sure if it will work. Here the specifications:

What do you think? Will it be necessary with four of them? I dont know exactly the total weight of the quadcopter. It will be composed by, an arduino uno, a bluetooth module, an acelerometer, and a chasis made of plastic

Have you thought of adding some batteries?
They might prove useful.

The rule of thumb I've heard is "an amp per ounce", so your 100mA motor is good for about 2.8g.

Sounds too small a motor - you want several watts per spindle for what you are attempting I think - you
need to carefully budget for mass and lifting power, with a good amount of headroom for control authority.

Definitely try to reduce mass a lot - Arduino mini, not Uno, for instance, you want all the spare carrying
capacity for the LiPo battery.

Its important to match propellers to motors correctly - without full specs of the motor (at the very least
motor constant, max torque, winding resistance), it would be guess work - find existing experience in
sizing multirotor craft (RC model forums are a lot better than hear for instance).

BTW why didn't you include a link to the motor you describe?

Search for "7mm or 8.5mm coreless brushed motors". That's what most small quads use for direct driving a small prop. They will use 1-2 amps when under load.

You will make about 20-25 grams of thrust with a well suited prop and a 7mm coreless motor. Try and keep your total power system/frame/motor and battery under 50 grams.

If you are in US, you may want to stay under 250g.

Above 8.8 ounces, quad copters must be registered with the FAA, I don't think it's a big deal to do that, many have already.

Around 100-250 grams (or up) quads of this size will generally use brushless motors although there are a few with brushed motors and gearboxes.
