OK, I put that note on there! The diagram is wrong in the area around the pot and the area around the relay.
Connect the pot from 5V (Vcc) to Ground (Gnd) with the wiper (arrow) going to the Arduino's Analog input 0. The 1k resistor is not required.
As for the relay, do not connect it to the Arduino's Pin 11, as shown. Use this circuit:
