I think that we need a schematic of the pedal and a description of what you want to do with it. Which Arduino?
The how to use this forum-please read stickies have some advice on what we need to know in order to provide informed help.
You need to open it up and look at the wiring , and with a multimeter work out what’s happening .
Some pics might help .
Although the previous was most interesting , I hope this isn’t for DIY dentistry.

Did you forget the thing will need to be continuously powered?

And how will you be able to use this with multiple dental chairs in the same area?
I think this thread is dead. The OP has one post, back in November. It came back to life because of some spam which the mods have deleted.
