design arduino voltmeter

Could you please tell me how to calculate sampling rate of the arduino voltmeter. It uses 16X2 LCD and to going to measure 0-55v using two 100Ko , 10Ko resisters .

Rate? Samples per second?

Just take 10,000 samples and time how long it takes. Use the millis() function to get the number of milliseconds at the start and end, then subtract.

It takes about 100 microseconds (0.0001 s) to read an analog input, so the maximum reading rate is about 10,000 times a second.

The time taken to update the liquid crystal display is going to slow this down though.

Given that you will be using a 100K Ohm resistor ...
That may affect maximum rate the AD can be sampled.

But that's not the whole story. The 10,000 figure is for analogRead() Look in the Atmel datasheet to find out how to make it nearly 10x faster
