detect mechanical shocks and upload data

Hi All,

I am thinking of starting a project to pick up mechanical shocks from a surface (like axle of a car or a bicycle) and upload the shock data. How feasible is this using Arduino products and s/w.

Very. Hope that helps. Not that I believe it does, but that's the only question you asked.

What sample rate to you want ?
The Arduino is a microcontroller, not a data capture transient recorder.
Up to 100Hz is normal for accelerator sensors, perhaps 1kHz sample rate is possible.
