Detecting voltage on two phase 130v

Hi all,

I've an old water pump at home with two light indicators (Green light - Pump is running, Red light - Pump is no running). My idea is to use Arduino and try to detect when the green light is on so I can send me a notification.

The problem is that the lights are old and they work with 130v AC.

Do you have a suggestion how to detect when the light is on?

Thanks all in advance.

Regards,
Kurt

An AC "wall wart" transformer is often used to safely detect the presence and voltage of 120 or 220 VAC power, and that has the advantage that it works if the lamp has burned out.
