Device for acquiring surface textures for virtual relighting


Below is a video link to update of my portable DSLR camera attachment prototype for capturing surface textures. The idea is to be able to capture surface textures and use those textures to render & relight the surfaces in virtual environments such as computer games.

This is WIP but I finally got something to show after a lot of soldering, sawing and crafting, and not that many innocent high power LED's died in the process :D I'm using Teensy LC microcontroller to drive the HPL's and the camera.
