My question to the forum is about the availability of the older type dht11 temp/humidity sensor.
The arduino is embedded in a pneumatic machine. The dht sensor is faulty, the replacements are of a newer type and the programme is not set up for auto detect or can it be changed. To add to my trouble the company that made the machine has gone bust. The original sensor is by aosong.

Why don't you just buy a new DHT11 from Adafruit?
It's all to do with the sampling rate.
I have tried the latest versions, they sync every 30seconds or so.
I cannot make changes to the programming.
I'm stuck.
The older sensor has a mini PCB sensor mesh attached to the board. The type is photographed on the ada fruit website.
What arrived was a dht11 of a different type.
Hence my question to the forum.

You mean a board which includes the pull-up? Maybe a picture of your sensor helps.

What does that mean? Is the sensor on the photograph on the page I linked to identical to your's?

Does that mean you ordered one from Adafruit but they sent you something different?
