DHT22 alternative

Hi

I've been using the DHT22 and DHT11 for a while. The DHT22 is placed outside because it can read colder temperatures, but it seems that every few months the humidity readings start to go off and remain mostly above 90. Once I replace it, the readings become more inline with the weather report. Is there a better replacement for it? or is there something I can do to get it back to work properly? It is cheap, but I don't want to keep changing it.

a quick google search for 'arduino waterproof humidity module' turned up the SHT20. I've never used em myself or anything, so maybe research a bit before pulling the trigger.
I'm not certain, but I don't believe the DHT22 was intended to be outside exposed to the elements. Hopefully the SHT20 will be a better fit.
