Hi all,
I wanted to try a project with three 75HC595 shift registers.
So I the three hooked up to my arduino micro and... hooked up 24 leds with 270 Ohm resistors to the three 75HC595's
I powered all this from the +5 pin from the micro.
Now my micro isn't recognized by my computer anymore
Have I fried it ?
Hmmm, seems like I fried it indeed.
Just to be sure: I guess plugging an external power supply into the arduino and drawing the same current from the 5v pin won't make a difference ?
So this would be the solution ?
- The external power supply +5v connected to the 5v of the three 75HC595's
- Power supply ground to arduino ground
Thanks
