Hello everyone!
I am making a Biometric Attendance system project using R307 Fingerprint sensor and ESP8266 WIFI Module. I connected the red wire of sensor to Vin pin of ESP8266, the black wire to GND pin, the yellow wire (TX) to D6 and green wire of sensor (RX) to D5. The code was uploaded successfully but then on the serial monitor I got "Did not find fingerprint sensor" error message. I could not enroll fingerprint. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thankyou.
Here is my code:
#include <Adafruit_Fingerprint.h>
#if (defined(__AVR__) || defined(ESP8266)) && !defined(__AVR_ATmega2560__)
// For UNO and others without hardware serial, we must use software serial...
// pin #2 is IN from sensor (GREEN wire)
// pin #3 is OUT from arduino (WHITE wire)
// Set up the serial port to use softwareserial..
SoftwareSerial mySerial(D5, D6);
#else
// On Leonardo/M0/etc, others with hardware serial, use hardware serial!
// #0 is green wire, #1 is white
#define mySerial Serial1
#endif
