difference between Motor Shield and breadboard built H-Bridge.

Hi i'm in the process of building a robot car,Can someone please explain me what are the differences between a Motor Shield and a breadboard built H-Bridge.because i have a breadboard built H-Bridge and then most of the internet tutorials are using a Motor Shield.

Thanks

It's hard to explain something that you built. An infinite number of things can be built on a breadboard. Please supply a link to the shield, and a schematic of your breadboard circuit.

A commercial motor shield has been "designed" to work. Since you consider it necessary to ask your question, at best your breadboard might work. Basically, that's the difference.

And on a crappy breadboard it might also work sometimes.
Leo..

then most of the internet tutorials are using a Motor Shield.

Tells you more about the state of the authors than the desirability of the solution.

because i have a breadboard built H-Bridge

Did you use a quality circuit or was it a crap one?

Building ANYTHING on a bread board is a very bad idea.
