Difficulty loading compiled sketches into my Arduino Uno R3.

October 22, 2016 –Saturday--

Dear Arduino friends and citizens.

I am having great difficulty loading compiled sketches into my Arduino Uno R3.
(It is not loading).

I am using a PC with:
Windows 7 ver. 6.1.7601 Pk 1, build 7601.
The System Type, x86-based PC.
1GB RAM and 160 GB H.Drive.
This is a dedicated PC with very little loaded SW except Arduino.

Arduino ver. 1.6.12 with serial chip Mega16U.
Uno R3 was bought on this site, not a clone.

Uno board is good since it loads with another Windows 7 PC having same version but is x64 based.

I believe the driver is the problem but cannot get the correct one loaded in the PC.
I have tried loading both from zip file and directly from Internet, always the same result. Also, I have checked the Device Manager and Uno is connected to COM1.
But, Under Tools> Serial Port the correct driver is not there.

If someone has suggestions, please let me know or contact me.
Thank you.

Sheesh...

OK there is a VERY GOOD chance that your UNO is NOT on COM ONE

Did you read the last reply you got ?

What do you actually see in DEVICE MANAGER for windows under Ports (COM & LPT) ?

Do you have any items with exclamation marks or question marks ?

If so what does it say about that device ?

(Second time) If its a REAL Arduino there are DRIVERS in the Arduino installation folder inside another folder called "Drivers".

Posting your email address and phone number is not going to get you anything but put on a spam list somewhere and I would suggest you EDIT your post to remove them ASAP !

@gfgray, do not hijack. @gfgray, do not cross-post. Other post removed.
