Digital light sensor

I need a light sensor that can measure the intensity of the sun, or artificial lights. I have seen the the BH1750 boards, or the little TSL series of small clear chips ... I'm not sure which one is best. I don't need a huge amount of sensitivity just enough to say how much sunlight is hitting it and then if the sun is too low i will turn a lamp on and then it will need to register this light. I figured a simple LDR is no good as it would need to be calibrated and these come precalibrated.

I don't know about the TSL, but the BH1750 will do.
