Hi all,
Electronics dummy here needing some guidance ...
My project consists of the need to detect a knock of static intensity, meaning the shock is the same G impact however the frequency may change from a few Microseconds to a Second or so.
It must trigger an interrupt ...
I could care less about the intensity, just the fact that it happened and when!
The frequency is whats to be measured.
So, My thoughts after much reading is a Schmitt Trigger (or Comparator) circuit with a potentiometer to final adjust the threshold.
Not sure what direction to take so I went to buy what would be needed for both circuits for testing and got confused on what Schmitt Trigger I should get.
Inverting, Non inverting, Hex ... etc.
What would be an appropriate Schmitt Trigger?
Any diagrams for it's use would also be helpful.
Using a comparator circuit I would use an LM211 setup something like

I do only need one channel.
Advice is always welcome ...
Thanks
-Enjoy
