Hi All,
I am currently facing a problem I have no clue what the problem could be.
The setup is a arduino mega with a touchless sensor (Digital TTP223B with about 1 m harness), an oled display and a microphone(connected to 3.3 and AREF) + led stripes (a volume meter). when everything is wired up and I power the arduino with the USB cable, the touchless sensor works perfectly as it should. I can see this on the oled and through the serial monitor.
When I attach an external power supply* which I need for the LEDs the touchless sensor does not work anymore. I already figured out that I need to connect the external power supply to the 5V pin and not to VIN pin. This worked out fine, but a day later, without touching anything I had the same problem.
I was also trying to reduce the incoming voltage to have exactly 5 V, but this was not successful.
Anyone an idea?
Many thank in advance!
- (5V 12A - actually it is around 5.5V, stabilized by a capacitor)
