I would like advice on hardware solutions to disable the auto-reset feature (in particular, the issue where dis/connecting the serial console causes a reset) on this new board.
My understanding is that the DTR sent in serial communications causes a reset of the board, but that this can be disabled in various ways (other board models apparently have a resistor that can be removed, or a suitable capacitor can be added for others).
Various old threads suggest such solutions, but they are specific to each board, and given that the Uno Wifi Rev2 has a different controller than most other boards, I'm a bit loath to just try my luck with (for example) adding a 10uF capacitor between gnd and the reset pin.
Has anybody successfully suppressed the soft reset on the Uno Wifi Rev2, or does anybody know what needs doing ?
Specifics of what worked or can safely be tried ?
Also, would achieving this cause the hardware reset button to become ineffective ? (that would undesirable)
