There are three PNG files attached to this message.
The first is the bottom of the Nano board with the reset circuit traces shown in orange.
The offending trace to be cut is shown in red.
I have tried to figure a way to add a shunt or switch between the via and the cap ... no "good" ideas thus far.
The last two are the front and back of the NANO board with the reset circuit traces shown in Orange.
I was kinda not thinking along the lines of removing the cap.
I do not have any surface mount tools.
Just a small soldering iron, but I can probably wick enough of the solder away to get the cap off.
Add so much solder to the component that it simultaneously covers both ends.
Carefully dislodge the component with tip of iron, preferably whilst holding PCB upside down over newspaper. Component will drop on paper, knocking most of solder off.
