disabled

could there be a page for disability and older persons page for products to make life easer for both i would be will to be a admin for it.

You can create a new page in the Playground section.
In the bar: Learning / Playground
http://playground.arduino.cc/

When you say "products", you mean Arduino related products ?

yes I mean Arduino based products for disabled people and oldies.
I was just thinking if there was a page in the forum for this people who wont to make stuff for older people and disabled people they could post to one place and if there was any disabled people on the forum they could give recommendation or say if what someone wont s to make is going to be useful or not.
as some of the products made for disabled people is rather useless or is just not correct as they are not disabled so what they think something is going to be good but its not.
Its just an idea as a lot of products for disabled people can work well for the older person or vice versa

There is a section "Gigs and Collaborations", you can start a topic, and edit your own first post regulary as some kind of introduction.
http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?board=26.0

For example the "Kalman Guide" is an important Arduino guide, but it is just a topic in the forum: http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php/topic,58048.0.html

that's not what I was getting at,
what is wrong with a part of the forum dedicated to disability and age related products.

having a page with all sorts of stuff on it will just be a pain in the .

I think it would be a good idea to have a dedicated page so people can make arduino based disability, age related stuff people would wont. as some of the products just don`t work.

a non disabled person making something for a disabled or older person can think what they are making is good then a disabled or older person try s it out and it does not work out right is just a waste of time.

if someone can post an idea and disabled people or older person can say yes that's a good idea or not and make suggestions to make it better just makes senses.

as I said I would be willing to run said page

You can try to contact the Arduino team to add something to the forum.....
Or you can make your own website, that way you can create it like you want (and I think the way you describe it is the best way).
Or you can use a page in the Playground or a forum topic as a start.

Don't be disappointed when only one or two people join you. As far as I know, there is no world-wide organization for disabled people, but there are good and large sites in many countries. And asking all those sites in all those countries to link to you might not be a success.
There are also people who test things and write about it on their own site, but that information is scattered.

There are also companies who make things for disabled people, but they want to keep things to themself and don't publish the details.

You can find projects at hackaday:

However, there are more Arduino projects that are very useful for disabled people but not labeled 'diabled' at hackaday.

What about this: http://arduinofordisabilities.wordpress.com/
Those are all good efforts, but there is no well known global site that gathers all that information.
When you make a site, it probably will be just one of those sites.

P.S.: When you use the word 'disabled', some people in the usa might be offended (I don't know why), they prefer the word 'challenged'.

yes thats correct but if there is something here for people like me that can say yes or no to someones idea about something for disabled people that would be good i look at thoes other site all the time and thoes companys who keep the ideas to them self do it for a reasion that ok its not thoes companys that is the problem.
it`s the companys that sall on the products to goverments or hospitals that are the problem as if someone comes up with an idea thats here before a resale company try to sale it they cant do it for a 0000% mark up as a person can make it for $00 not $0000

I am just sick of people trying to rip of disabled people for some thing they get for $900 us and sale it for $10,000 us I will not say whos does it but it`s correct as I contacted the company that makes a product for disabled people to find out what it realy costs so i could get one for my self so i dont have to pay the mark up but the company that resales it has that company lock in a contract so they cant sale it there self.

so im just one pist of disabled person who just has to make his own stuff.

I dont mind being call disabled I am thats life

Yes, that is sadly how it is.

It is not easy to find an organization that you could become a part of.
Perhaps this is the top level for disabled people : http://www.un.org/disabilities/
But that is far from Arduino for daily use projects.

Do you know how to make a blog ? or a wiki ?
The wikispaces has been reliable for many years : https://www.wikispaces.com/

In my opinion, you best start with a page in the Playground section, and see how it develops from there.
