Disabling the VNH5019 motor driver

On Pololu's schematic, that EnA & EnB have pull-ups on them.
But on page 6 of the datasheet is seems to indicate pulling them to ground thru 10K resistors. This would be better, wouldn't it, as wouldn't this keep the motors from activating during the arduino's bootup time?

No, they are right, the enable pin needs pull ups. Its an open-drain I/O pin, the chip can pull it low,
you can pull it low. Just have pull-downs on INA and INB to disable during power up?

The datasheet goes into detail about the function of these pins, they also make internal
fault conditions visible, they are not just about enabling.
