Discobot three dots

Where are the three dots that Discobot refers to in the last sentence?

Hi @sterretje. The ●●● icon reveals the "hidden" (not displayed in the primary UI) post action icons. By default, Discourse is configured to "hide" these post actions:

  • flag
  • bookmark
  • edit
  • delete/undelete

The "Greetings!" tutorial was written for that default configuration.

However, I see Arduino Forum's "hidden" post actions configuration has been customized so that only these actions are hidden:

  • edit
  • delete/undelete

But the tutorial text was not updated accordingly at that time. I have now updated it. I only updated the English language, so contributions of translations for any of the forum's supported locales are welcome.

The reason you don't see an ●●● icon under that message is because it was written by someone else, so you can't edit or delete it. But you will see it under your own posts.

This is the new text:

and the previous text for each locale is the value of the discourse_narrative_bot.new_user_narrative.bookmark.instructions key in the server.<locale code>.yml file here:

Thanks Pert

I know the three dots under the normal posts and I expected to see them in the Discobot message because they were specifically mentioned.

Did you modify the message so new users now get a slightly different message without the three dots in the last line?
