Please post a link to the actual display that you have bought. e.g. Ebay sale page.
Please quote the Arduino model e.g. Uno, Zero, Due, ...
Then we don't have to ask endless questions.

If I2C scan does not work, then the program will not work. Show an image of your project.
Which display are you using?
I would be really helpful if you were to post some clear photos of your wiring and setup.
You have to get the I2C scanner operating showing the ports first, if it cannot find them nothing else can either. I will take a SWAG and say you pull ups are absent or not low enough in resistance. I use 4,7K for 5V and 3K for 3V3 as a starting point. This is on the bus not each module.
Or connecting to A4 and A5 on a Mega board or ... Without concrete information, we could guess on and on.
I thank ! I've managed to make it work. I'm using the monochrome 128x128 Oled I2C. I installed the pullup resistors , and the option U8G2_SSD1327_EA_W128128_1_HW_I2C u8g2(U8G2_R0, /* reset=*/ U8X8_PIN_NONE) . Doubts: screen height is only admitting 96 Pix, is it correct?
OK !! Thanks
OK I've managed to make the display work! thanks
