What needed to start this display?
All controllers operate at 2.8V to 3.3V. You will damage it with 5V from a Nano.
If you connect it with the correct voltages I will help you get it running.
It is not a Raydium RM68090

David. I'm connected to 3.3 v pin and display backlight powered by a laboratory power supply.
A Nano has 5V GPIO. It will damage the controller.
Use a proper 3.3V board like Zero, Due, Nucleo, ...
I use a Uno clone with switchable 3V/5V e.g. Open-Smart or Seeed Studio

Yes, you can run it from a Nano. Just use thirteen level shifters.
